The ancient Classical Chinese Five Element approach to health and disease. 

The Chinese Five Element Methodology is one of the most enduring of the classical oriental philosophies, having stood the test of centuries of use. It invites us to view the world as a cycle of energies and allows us to see people in a deep, even poetic, way, rekindling our senses and expanding our capacity for empathy.

The Art of Pulse Taking and Listening.

Learning the ancient art and skill of taking and listening to pulses is an essential part of this course. Plant Spirit MedicineSM follows the ancient Chinese Five Element method of pulse diagnosis and through much practice and humility teaches students how to effectively read pulses. 

The Basics of “Household” Shamanism.

By using the techniques of “household” or basic shamanism, students  learn to communicate with the plant spirits and make a direct relationship with them. By entering the dream of the plants, they learn about the medicine of the plant and how to offer that medicine to others. Students learn how to build a materica medica, giving them access to the plants they will need when they begin to see clients. 

How to Work in a Clinical Setting, including:

• Blocks to Treatment and how to correct them
• Rapport between practitioner and client
• Professional boundaries and ethics
• Setting up a clinical practice
